Happy Easter

Happy Easter

Happy Easter, one and all
Think what may be, what may befall
The future comes no matter what
For every soul, life has its slot

And yet a happy time eludes
Where doubt and darkness ever broods
Have caution as you journey on
Lest all your helpers may be gone

A time of angels and of saints
Aware of worldly vice that taints
How could we turn and not allow
The brightness to come through, somehow

A world of wonder in the mind
Which seeks but somehow will not find
For turning from some good advice
A million things could now entice

Take strength then from this Easter-time
For cynics it won’t cost a dime
No pressure, choose that love will win
At Easter let new life begin

Commitment

Commitment

Commitment is a force that wins
It beats a thousand lies and sins
For when you meet the one that’s sure
You’ll see their goal and nothing more

A barren wasteland you may find
When searching through this humankind
But when at last you’ve found the gold
Then all has changed from days of old

Wherever life may lead, take heart
We knew the story from the start
To suffer has its place, my friend
And often it is worth the end

Hold on then, for the world is small
A silent, spinning, puzzle-ball
Seek out the truth with peace in mind
Commitment brings what you defined

A Wider View

A Wider View

It’s time to take a wider view
To step back now and think it through
The thoughts and actions in this time
Will bring success or lead to crime

So who are we?  Where are we bound?
The world moves on without a sound
Then one day, all becoming clear
The truth at last will reappear

Have boldness and some caution too
Start with your mission, see it through
And others see just what is done
Make time for work and time for fun

The balance is what we now seek
So much occurs within a week
Make choices now, at least a few
But always with a wider view

Time Moves On

Time Moves On

Time moves on, and what has changed?
Some things, for sure, have rearranged
But you will find within this land
That very slowly things are planned

And sometimes plans are never seen
Despite a dream, however keen
The chances that we see may pass
To be cut down, much like the grass

Then don’t be slow to show you care
The world is neither cruel nor fair
It’s up to us by how we live
Make time to share and time to give

Tomorrow brings another thought
More precious than the things we bought
So much has passed, so much has gone
Then tread with care as time moves on

Future Lives

Future Lives

Keep in mind our future lives
As in this world so much now strives
A faithful heart and level head
Will pave the way to where we’re led

For who knows what the end will be
The truth is neither you nor me
Nor any other you may meet
In any land or any street

Take time to plan and think it through
Then joyful times come into view
A steady soul will one day win
So let’s with careful thought begin

Calm down and wait, no time to fear
Great changes may be very near
Enjoy the times, so much now thrives
Look forward to our future lives

A Different View

A Different View

A different view you’re free to take
It could serve well now you’re awake
The world has changed and so have we
Not perfect, but we’re almost free

Some work to do, and more to learn
For life has taken quite a turn
Don’t doubt the lengths to which they go
A world in turmoil we all know

Then from your place, create the way
For future lives will have their say
And learning will move on from here
To worlds we never knew to fear

A great dilemma we may face
We’re standing here within the race
And asking just how much we knew
Far more comes with a different view

Beat the Storm

Beat The Storm

The time has come to beat the storm
No matter what its current form
Above the turmoil you may fly
And looking down you’ll then see why

Perspective is an open book
For some read well but some don’t look
So arm yourself with all you can
Don’t choose to be a lesser man

No-one could argue when you’re sure
They’ll try, but you will bring some more
No stopping you when in full flow
Some stay and learn but others go

Keep working then, in time they’ll see
And all the while you will be free
To be yourself, secure and warm
With fire and peace, you beat the storm
