Thinking Big

Thinking Big

When thinking big, great changes come
This thought seems too far-fetched for some
Yet every action once began
With simple thought amidst life’s plan

So check the nature of your thought
The power is vast, don’t sell it short
The future will depend on this
A nightmare or a life of bliss

Decisions every day are there
Again with thought we must take care
No fear, but measured choices now
Will future dreams at least allow

For all can be, no limits here
Through many highways we must steer
Enjoy the ride, don’t stop to dig
The best is called by thinking big

Dare To Believe

Dare To Believe

All changes when you dare to believe
No limits on what we’ll achieve
The masters watch as things unfold
It’s time to act, we’ve all been told

So who will listen to their call?
Will any good now come at all?
It’s not the same for each in turn
But all should know there’s much to learn

Then what’s the answer?  Perhaps don’t ask
Just pay attention to your task
When every little job is done
Then look to see – here comes the sun

We don’t need more than what we’ve found
It’s everywhere, just look around
Our doubts and fears will simply leave
When, at last, we dare to believe

Keep Ahead

Keep Ahead

To win the race let’s keep ahead
Don’t fall behind or stay in bed
Too much to do, a lot to learn
So many things for which we yearn

Keep focused then or all is lost
You may find out too late the cost
The ball will move, the goal will shift
Don’t wait too long to use your gift

For all have things they have to do
Why are we here if that’s not true?
Think of the best that you can be
And start right now, then you will see

We’re all the same in many ways
What makes the difference in these days?
Amidst a world where much is dead
The best choice now is keep ahead!

Know Your Mind

Know Your Mind

The time has come to know your mind
Search deeply, see what you can find
And then move forward, vision clear
With greater hope, and in top gear

You’ll help a million people now
You’ll have the strength to show them how
Look back and see you had to grow
So many things you didn’t know

And in these times, where all can be
Make space and time, but peacefully
Reflect on things and why they come
To simply be is hard for some

Much more will be achieved by those
Who think it through, this always shows
So take your time and don’t be blind
It’s priceless when you know your mind

The Future

The Future

Whatever may the future bring?
Decide the song you wish to sing
Then sing it well, for life is short
In many traps we may be caught

The answer then begins from here
The past has gone and truth draws near
Face up to what the calling needs
Into the vast unknown it leads

Have courage and a clear mind
Then things of value you may find
The search moves on from you right now
Don’t be too quick to take your bow

So simply care in all you do
And every venture follow through
With many paths, this vast array
Choose well the future from today

Where Things May Lead

Where Things May Lead

Who can guess where things may lead?
You learn today by what you read
And then tomorrow, with surprise
You’ve somehow grown a little wise

Be careful as you fill your mind
The deeper powers are never blind
With children more than ever, look
They’re quoting from that film or book

And now with strength beyond compare
The powers that be can find you there
Fear not, but see that none escape
When intervention comes to shape

Then what if friends from distant stars
Came down to mock our feeble cars?
The game is changed and new indeed
So now let’s see where things may lead…

Wide Awake

Wide Awake

Despite the dark I’m wide awake
I see some give and others take
I’m watching from a place of hope
And forming words to help us cope

The games play on, folk live and die
Whilst ships of light are in the sky
And eyes of wisdom watch in vein
As mankind seals its fate again

A planet lost in violent greed
Whilst beauty waits in every seed
A painful lesson for the young
That songs, at times, are left unsung

So where’s the hope?  I hear you cry
These words are willing us to die
Yet die we must, one day in time
Then what’s the value of a dime?

You see my friends, all things will pass
And that’s the key, we’re like the grass
One day to grow and play our part
Then time to sow as we depart

Think positive then, our time is now
To truly learn what we’ll allow
The future world is ours to make
How shall it be?  Stay wide awake
