Where Is Truth?

Where Is Truth?

Where is truth?  It’s time to ask
And who could be up to the task?
You’ll find so many went before
Not guessing what life held in store

Have caution in the search, my friend
For life is fragile, all must end
But that’s no reason to back down
Find meaning now, in vale and town

The past has more than we may guess
Don’t move too fast amidst life’s mess
Mistakes are rife, and who’s immune?
With too much pride you’ll lose love’s tune

Think deeply then, and make your move
There’s nothing left to lose or prove
And when tomorrow comes around
You may find truth, at last, is found

Always More

Always More

Don’t have a doubt, there’s always more
Good fortune comes when you are sure
The answers to the quest you’re on
Will start to come once fears have gone

Search harder and the dream is there
It waits until you truly care
And then, emerging from the deep
Delights which you may always keep

Beyond the daily toil we see
So much still waits in you and me
Go slow now, for the future’s bright
Too much too soon would blind our sight

Unceasing is the life we lead
Potential way beyond our greed
So take a step and watch with awe
As you will see, there’s always more

Happy Thoughts

Happy Thoughts

What we need are happy thoughts
You won’t get far with other sorts
A joyful mind has chance to grow
To places where the rest can’t go

These crazy times we know too well
Despondent people never sell
A brooding soul may have some charm
But check the nature of his psalm

A warning comes when reaching out
And yet it’s best to have no doubt
The ancient blessing holds its course
The change we need, we mustn’t force

So in our busy, hectic lives
A ray of hope at last arrives
No cost at all, despair retorts
When faced with endless happy thoughts

Upside Down

Upside Down

We know the world is upside down
In every street, in every town
So much to change, but where to start?
It’s deep within, a change of heart

Tune out from all those boasting lies
Each word and gesture, thin disguise
For people say so much, but think
There always is a missing link

The jigsaw has so far to go
For all will reap just what we sow
Take time to find the missing lid
So long ago that this was hid

A riddle every day, indeed
For riddles sometimes we will need
No boredom here, so take the frown
And learn to turn it upside down

Getting Through

Getting Through

Sometimes enough just getting through
Although I want much more for you
Yet life can be a tricky thing
So learn to talk before you sing

And when the world seems cold and cruel
Remember not to give it fuel
Stay focused on the task at hand
When finished then you’ll understand

A roller-coaster in these times
No end to those deluded crimes
But through the darkness comes a light
It may awake you in the night

So keep a watch, good friend of mine
And learn to read with every sign
Great things await both me and you
But just for now, we’re getting through

Keep Ahead

Keep Ahead

To win the race let’s keep ahead
Don’t fall behind or stay in bed
Too much to do, a lot to learn
So many things for which we yearn

Keep focused then or all is lost
You may find out too late the cost
The ball will move, the goal will shift
Don’t wait too long to use your gift

For all have things they have to do
Why are we here if that’s not true?
Think of the best that you can be
And start right now, then you will see

We’re all the same in many ways
What makes the difference in these days?
Amidst a world where much is dead
The best choice now is keep ahead!

Positive News

Positive News

Positive news we need to hear
Don’t waste your dreams in constant fear
Look for the good at every turn
And then we have the chance to learn

For negative thoughts are daily served
Each mind and soul is thus unnerved
See how the problems multiply
And still we wonder, asking why

The rabbit-hole goes very deep
We may find clues whilst we’re asleep
And in the light of day we ask
Why must we wear this painful mask

For truth is free and so is love
The message comes from high above
Ignore the doubts, protect your views
It’s time to share our positive news

No Surprises

No Surprises

No surprises, things move slow
Some hope for change, but where to go?
The daily grind is safe and sure
And yet most say they’re wanting more

So what’s the secret in this maze?
Seek those who rise above the haze
And make a difference every day
They’ll help you see there is a way

It’s not illusion that lives on
For one day that will all be gone
It’s simple truth that we now seek
And peace of mind is for the meek

So slowing down can help us all
As things speed up then all could fall
Confused?  You will be.  Life won’t stop
And who could ever reach ‘the top’?

More questions here than answers, yes
These words are not here to impress
A simple challenge, new thought rises
One day later … no surprises?

Time To Learn

Time To Learn

Time to learn and time to play
Keep searching and you’ll find the way
For education is the link
From where you ask to where you think

A million questions, one shines through
The simplest of them – Who Are You?
Reflect and find the honest truth
Then age won’t matter, nor will youth

So deep the joys, and troubles too
And yet somehow mankind pulls through
For every agent of our doom
A thousand angels also loom

Enjoy the time then, never shirk
For joy is also found at work
And every grace for which we yearn
Will reach us when we’ve time to learn

All Can Change

All Can Change

All can change, we never can tell
Don’t take for granted heaven or hell
An open mind each day we need
Lest we are slaves to want or greed

Enigma-like this world presents
And leaves a searcher on the fence
But danger lurks for those who wait
Too much delay and you’re the bait

Be strong then in your choices now
And future days are bright somehow
For in the mind is more than guessed
An optimist is always blessed

The past is done, make no mistake
The night has passed, we’re now awake
Each action in this world, so strange
Will make a difference – all can change
